Leacnasaide, Loch Gairloch
Sealladh na Mara
Gaelic for 'view of the sea'
About the house
Sealladh na Mara sits in secluded woodland in the hamlet of Leacnasaide, on the south side of Loch Gairloch, with views out over the sea. It makes a comfortable base for exploring one of the finest corners of the Highlands.
The house was built in the 1970s and has modern touches throughout. The open fire in the living room is the place to settle after a day outdoors. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the dining table is big enough for everyone to sit round together.
Outside, a large private garden leads down through rhododendrons and oak to a rocky beach. Children love exploring it, though there is a pond, so keep an eye on little ones.
